01 January 2009, Our new website provides information on skills and training for the UK built heritage sector.
Key Features:
- Careers advice for craftspeople and professionals
- Advice for employers on grants and heritage qualifications
- National news and events
- NHTG initiatives, such as Training the Trainers
- Schools initiatives in the built heritage sector
- Information for historic property owners

- Dedicated regional and home countries sections.
The site has a unique structure that enables content generated within dedicated sections for the English regions, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to populate the national pages, making it a truly collaborative web presence for heritage skills across the UK.
The development of the new site, funded by ConstructionSkills and English Heritage, has involved broad consultation, drawing on the expertise of many NHTG partners, including employers, training providers, heritage bodies and representatives of regional initiatives.
The site will be useful for you if you are: an employer looking at funding, training and qualification opportunities; at school, currently in training, or a career changer wanting to know more about working in this sector; a teacher interested in skills fairs and events with an educational link; a training provider; a traditional building property owner; or simply want to know about the work of the NHTG and its range of products and services.
