Already in Heritage?
There are lots of ways to continue to learn and upskill yourself once you are working in the heritage sector. Our site provides you with information and signposts to find out more.
As a craftsperson you should give yourself the competetive edge by applying for a CSCS Heritage Skills card which you can use to demonstrate your competence to potential clients or employers. Over time it will be more difficult to work on historic buildings without this card.
As a professional you should be working towards conservation accreditation with a recognised professional body.
Consult our database of built heritage training providers to find courses that will enable you to further develop your skills and knowledge for built heritage work.
Also see our qualifications section for guidance on the range of qualifications you can achieve to support your career development within the sector.
If you want to give something back to the sector then contact us about joining our Heritage Ambassadors Scheme and we'll help you to be an inspiration to future generations.
