Stone Consolidation Techniques - What Have We Learnt?

Date:
26 October 2010
Location:
SPAB, 37 Spital Square, London E1
Type:
London

In 1980 The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) Technical Panel called for a moratorium on the use of silane-based preservatives to conserve stonework. Since then stone conservation practices have moved on with many trials having taken place around the country. Based on the results of these trials, under the watchful chair of Professor Clifford Price (a leading specialist in stone consolidation science), our specialist stone conservator speakers will shed light on current thinking, techniques and materials being used.

Time of the event: 1.00 pm until 5.00 pm
