ConstructionSkills consolidates support for Scottish Stone Liaison Group
01 September 2008, Richard Groom (ConstructionSkills Heritage Training Advisor for Scotland) has been seconded to the Scottish Stone Liaison Group for 2½ days per week as a fundamental part of ConstructionSkills in Scotland's support for the built heritage sector and the work of the SSLG (an NHTG Exective member).
Richard reports that the SSLG Industry Training Group has met several times to discuss the training needs of the stone industries in Scotland and good progress has been made, particularly in understanding the role industry can take in both creating and changing National Occupational Standards (NOS) for construction trades.
