Heritage Contractors Meeting
09 October 2008, Heritage contractors from around the region attended an event hosted by the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence (WMCCE) and representatives from English Heritage, Construction Skills, West Midlands Skills Brokerage and the National Heritage Training Group (NHTG).
The meeting introduced heritage contractors to a number of business development opportunities, highlighting the following:
- West Midlands Built Heritage – why its care and conservation is important
- Survey of West Midlands Contractors – report findings and action plan
- The new Heritage Skills NVQ Level 3 and the Heritage Skills CSCS card
- ConstructionSkills grants
- Train to Gain Service
