Conserving the Special Character of Churches

Date:
01 October 2010
Location:
The University of York will host this event at several North Yorkshire churches owned and managed by the Churches Conservation Trust
Type:
Yorks & The Humber

The Churches Conservation Trust is the national charity protecting historic churches at risk. It has saved over 340 unique buildings which attract more than a million visitors a year. With help and public support they are kept open, in use and free to all – living once again at the heart of their communities. This course, which is in association with the University of York, will examine how to deal with these challenges in more detail.

Keeping historic churches maintained, well used and in good repair is an ongoing challenge for the heritage sector and all those involved in their care.

This course will also be held on the 7th,14th and 21st October 2010.
