Stone Carving Festival

The festival will take place over the weekend, there will be up to 80 Masons, Carvers, Sculptors, and Stonework Apprentices from the UK and abroad to celebrate the craft of stone carving.
There will be an auction of the stones worked during the festival at 3.30pm on Sunday August 15th.
Each participant will be free to interpret the festivals theme 'Nature's Form and the Fabulous' in stone. At the end of the festival finished stones will be sold by auction. The proceeds will be divided between York Minster fund (reg charity 2252157) and York Against Cancer.
The festival is open to all masons carvers sculptors and stonework apprentices who would like to come and celebrate the art of stone carving.
